Colby Russell is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Dover, NH who attends Dover Senior. Russell works from a medium lean frame with additional room to project and add strength. As a primary RHP, he started from the 1B side of the rubber with a small side step into a belt high leg lift. He showcased a slight coil before extending downhill to ultimately top out at 79 mph from a clean 3/4 arm angle. There's deception here in the operation with some occasional running action on the FB. In terms of off speed, he went to a SL that flashed developing spin potential at 1757 rpm. On the offensive end, Russell started from a slightly open stance with a lower compact hand set and toe-tap trigger that produced line drive contact to all parts of the field. He flashed quickness to the hands, posting an exit velo of 71 mph. Great student.

Right Handed Hitting
Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
