Blake Devis is a 2026 C/RHP/IF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Palisades High School. Medium frame with good projection and lean muscular build with a lot of time to gain overall mass. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Primary position C, using nice game like start and repeatable actions. Smooth glove work to midline transfer and a bit of length in arm action. Solid throws with accuracy up to 70 mph and a pop time best 2.28 seconds. Reps on the infield with solid, basic fundamentals making plays with consistency. Really handled the slow roller play, showing good dexterity. Arm played here with 78 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, working exclusively from the stretch and coming set inline with hands at the belt. Deliberate leg lift just above the waist and breaking from there into very deep inline arm path. High 3/4 arm angle, accelerating through explosive turn in the core. FB up to 76 mph with some life and run to the arm side getting on hitter's hands. Emerging feel for secondary pitches in a SL with two-plane tilt and low-70s CH that stays true through the zone. RHH starting with an open and wide stance getting into his base. Gets a bit feely with the barrel instead of cutting it loose. Inside path to the ball and uses the big part of the field well. Mechanics are present and projects well with added mass. Has the look of an offensive catcher long term. Outstanding student in the classroom as well.
