Justin Van Alst-Mehl is a 2027 2B/RHP, SS, MIF, IF, UT with a 5-4 104 lb. frame from Old Bridge, NJ who attends Old Bridge. Young, athletic build with tons of physical projection remaining to be added. 7.58-second runner during the sixty. Primary middle-infielder, field with a deep funnel as he displayed developing footwork playing through the ball. Showcased some range going up-the-middle to a ball to his left. Accurate across the diamond, up to 58 mph with developing arm strength as he matures physically. Secondary right-handed pitcher, worked at a good pace from a full wind-up. Compact arm action as he comes from a high 3/4 slot. Sprayed the zone as he generated tons of weak contact throughout his outing. Worked in the mid-60s with his fastball that flashed some natural cut to it. Developing feel for breaking ball that displayed gradual depth through the zone. Lots of projection left. Right-handed hitter, narrow, balanced stance with a high-hand set. Utilizes a hover trigger with a rotational lower half. Generated some line-drive contact to the middle-of-the-field when on time during his round.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
