Luca Santoro is a 2025 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, IF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Baldwin, MD who attends John Carroll. Medium current build with a frame to easily add strength and plenty of time to add. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.62 seconds. Primary position IF, showing some hop in his step, moving well to the ball. Has a feel for the clay, working his angles correctly and showing soft glove work out front. Deep funnel to clean transfer into appropriately short arm generating throws across the diamond up to 70 mph. Collected his body well on the slow roller play, doing it well. RHH starting narrow and upright to create some leverage and turned in front foot to load lower half. Handset is in good spot showing some nice rhythm. Tends to get rotational to get bat head to contact but showed good launch when in the middle of the field. Compact stroke overall with good projection and emerging power in the stick. Young athlete with a nice skill set and a prospect to follow. Extraordinary student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
