Zack Scruggs is a 2025 SS/OF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Asheboro, NC who attends Southwestern Randolph. Medium compact frame with some dense strength and a lot of time for further development. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.67 seconds. Primary position IF, moving pretty well on his feet and creating proper angles on plays. Presents the glove nicely out front and works into deep midline funnel. Compact transfer into full arm path in the back that generated throws up to 76 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Handled the slow roller and shows the overall skill set to continue development throughout career. RHH with an even setup and carrying the bat flat over his shoulder to start. Gets to his front side early and saw his best impact when letting the ball travel. Pulls the barrel through with loose hands. Will get a bit uphill at times but when on plane created nice line drives gap to gap. A lot to anticipate for this prospect.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
