Erick Colon is a 2023 RHP/3B, MIF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Schaumburg, IL who attends Schaumburg. Recorded a 7.62 second sixty yard dash time. Tall and physical build with present strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a short arm action with normal flex and comes from a three-quarters slot. Pitches from the stretch, uses a knee above belt leg lift with a big hip turn, lands online with the plate. Release point tends to be inconsistent, lacks extension at times and has some recoil at finish. Will add and subtract velocity from the fastball, flashed a curveball with 12-6 shape and developing depth. Secondary third baseman, showed developing infield actions and feel for the position, will improve as he becomes more comfortable with reading hops. Graded out highest as a hitter. Right-handed hitter with an even base and a big rock back load. Utilizes a toe tap trigger, has a deep arm bar to start and a lot of bat waggle pre pitch. Rotational and high effort swing, shows a long bat path with definite strength and bat speed present. Has an uphill path and tends to lean back at contact rather than keep his posture. Made loud contact to the opposite during the game, has intriguing power potential and can really improve as he cleans up some mechanical pieces in his swing. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
