Ryan Mendrysa is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 137 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends John Champe. Young build with athletic actions and a solid frame to build on with plenty of time to do it. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.71 seconds. Primary position IF, showing good first step quickness and moving well overall on his feet. Shows feel for the clay, creating proper angles and soft hands as he secures the ball. Deeper funnel to midline transfer employing clean arm path to produce throws up to 71 mph across the diamond. Made the slow roller but will refine the more difficult plays with time. Secondary RHP, showing an athletic delivery and gets the lower-half well integrated into mechanics. Gets into early rotation here and there but when inline at foot strike showed his best arm speed. Shorter arm path to 3/4 arm angle, delivering FBs up to 70 mph with run and sink to the arm side. Also mixed in a rolling CB in the mid-50s that displayed the spin to be a quality offering long term. RHH with an even and balanced initial stance, sinking into hips nicely pre-pitch to activate lower half. Significant barrel lift before accelerating to impact and at his best when in the middle fo the field. Mature approach and direct path finding the barrel with regularity and the power is yet ahead of him. Some two-way potential and is an outstanding student too.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
