Diego Chapa is a 2027 2B/RHP, C, MIF, OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Mission, TX who attends Sharyland. Thin build right now that fits the mold for the class, figures to grow over time. Ran a 8.64 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, longer arm stroke from the spot, fielding it cleanly out front with nice two hand funnel to transfer, made the plays during the round, developing footwork laterally right now, arm strength will improve as body does. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup from the middle of the rubber, small sidestep to a belt high leg lift, slow paced mechanics until he works through the arm stroke to slot, lower slot on low 50's curveball with developing shape and spin, working to find consistency here. Right-handed hitter, even and squared off base, direct path with sound fundamental base in place, works hard to whip the barrel through the zone, stationary lower half and lacks weight transfer at present. Will improve as body takes more steps to physical maturity. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
