Sam Hoeft is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Port Washington, WI who attends Port Washington. Large frame with long, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.87 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with flexed knees, hip swivel into load, rotates out of it well, shorter stroke on flat plane, stays committed to the middle of the field and repeats swing well, projectable power. Worked out in the infield, rakes through backhand well and shows good comfort with hand actions, moves well laterally, quick release with arm strength clocked up to 84 mph. Also pitched, good balance to delivery and drive to the plate, low 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed, fastball worked 83-85 mph, showed slider at 70 mph. Very good student, named to 2023 North Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
