Jack Perkowski is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Colgate, WI, who attends Hartford Union. A medium frame with a compact build. Has some strength showing throughout. Primary left-handed pitcher with a full wind-up using a side step as he works into a belt-high leg lift. Stays balanced with a controlled operation over his backside. Has a good sense of direction, moving laterally toward the plate. Attacks the zone with the fastball, which worked 80-82 mph with spin up above 2,010 RPMs. The pitch had arm-side run to it, and he was able to locate it well during his outing. He also showed a slider-like breaking ball for strikes at 70 mph with spin up to 2,375 RPMs. He had good feel for the pitch and was able to work it lower for swings and misses. A right-handed hitter with a waggling start in his hands before he gets the bat vertical and back elbow out. Starts with a slightly open stance and a narrow base. Aiming to work compact to the ball and drive it. Rotates well through contact and was able to show off the bat speed. Solid round overall during BP. Also worked out as an outfielder with a smooth arm stroke. Had good arm speed, and the throws came out with strength behind them. Threw 83 mph from the outfield during his round. Smooth operation working through it with some momentum. Good student. Named to 2023 North Indoor Showcase TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
