Daniel Debruin is a 2022 RHP/ with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Huntington, NY who attends Walt Whitman High School. Recorded a 7.47 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, high waisted frame with long levers and room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch, incorporates coiled leg lift into balance and good stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing, topping out at 79 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower with two-pitch mix, flashed ability to land 11-5 breaking ball for strikes. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and developing of command. Took part in the defensive portion of the workout in both the outfield and infield. Displayed anticipatory footwork at both positions, while bending at the waist to field. Recorded arm strength up to 75 mph from the outfield and 71 mph during infield drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower 1/2 and subtle weight shift into contact, while displaying a mostly pull-side approach. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
