Chad Bates is a 2026 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Clinton, MS who attends Clinton. Smaller, lean build with a lot of time to continue adding strength. Recorded a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, solid fundamental movements, athletic on the charge, fields the ball with one hand on the side of the body, clean arm action and good arm strength. Tons of twitch were on display, confident player that should only get better as he continues to grow. Recorded accurate throws up to 77 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly open with low hands set in the stance. Quick, compact swing with natural loft to it, finds the barrel often, consistent path through the zone. Solid foundation to build upon in the coming years, will continue to grow into power. Excellent student.
