Steven Luna is a 2027 C/2B, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Kerman, CA who attends Kerman High School. Features a medium frame with a lean build and present athleticism. Ran a 7.24 60-yd dash. At SS, he showed understanding of INF fundamentals. Sets body into good fielding posture with glove set down and out front. Shows light feet early in his actions but gets flat footed at reception at times. Exhibited noticeable feel for his backhand. Used a shorter arm action that had average strength across. Worked out behind the plate as well and showed solid catch/throw ability. Flashed athleticism with his lower half replacing his feet and gaining ground with quickness. Also had a solid exchange that allowed him to work fast to release. At the plate, he sits in a balanced stance with relaxed lower hands. Used a simple load/trigger where he gets his foot down early with minimal hand load. Works the bat on a direct path where he showed some natural barrel feel. Showed a gap-to-gap approach throughout his round while flashing some present hand/barrel quickness. Was named to Top Prospects List.
