Lathan Pruitt is a 2027 OF/SS with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Winston Salem, NC who attends Oak Grove. Medium current build with wiry strength and some twitchy athleticism and a lot of time to build physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.22 seconds. Primary position OF, sitting back on the ball a bit but squared up nicely working around his throws that reached 68 mph. Emerging overall arm strength with good accuracy and some carry when behind the ball at release. RHH with very simple mechanics producing short swing in direct path to the ball. Initial setup is wide with slight shift to contact and is typically on time. Contact is good and ball will get off barrel better with time and strength. Secondary IF, bending at the waist and fielding square out front with glove. Methodical angles and footwork with clean transition getting throws up to 69 mph across the diamond. Emerging strength and will be interesting to watch overall skill set jump with maturity and physical growth.
