Logan Shew is a 2022 1B/ with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from University Place, WA who attends Curtis. He has a good frame with a strong build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.20 seconds. Primary first baseman that does a nice job of funneling the ball into the glove and making a clean transfer. He has a quick release and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He showed nice footwork when throwing to second base. He could add velocity to his throws by working through them with his lower half better and following through more. Right-handed hitter that starts with an even base that is slightly open with low hands. He uses a toe tap trigger for timing. He has a rotational swing and fires his hips well. He showed some nice hand quickness and has a downhill swing that creates backspin on his line drives. He did his best work when hitting the ball back up the middle.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
