Chase Taylor is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-7 158 lb. frame from Odenton, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding. Recorded an 8.11-second sixty-yard time. Young, athletic build with present strength in his lower half. Primary middle-infielder, athletic actions with some twitch, clean glove actions as he plays through the ball well, displaying range to his left and right. Some present arm strength as he was 76 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch. Remains balanced with an above-the-belt leg lift into simple drop and drive lower half mechanics. Longer arm action that gets a bit stabby in the back side. Over-the-top slot with quickness to his arm action. Solid two-pitch mix, landing 11-5 shaped curveball for stickers during his outing. Worked fastball down in the zone with some riding action in the zone, up to 78 mph with his heater as he sat 74-77 mph. Worked both sides of the plate well. Left-handed hitter, slightly open stance with a high-hand set up. Compact stroke that had a tendency to work downhill. Flashed line-drive impact to the pull side with developing power potential. As he adds more strength throughout his frame his feel for the barrel with certainly improve. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
