Connor Russell is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Casteel. He showed plus speed with a 6.98 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a young lean athletic build. In the outfield, showed an aggressive route to the ball with good actions through the fielding process. Full arm action creating good carry with his release out front as he gets rid of the ball quickly. On the mound, drop and drive action on the back side with little effort in the delivery as the arm works long through the back to a three-quarters arm slot with good arm speed while the fastball sat 72-77 mph with slight arm side run. Curveball with 12-6 shape and a changeup in the upper 60's with consistent arm speed round out the three pitch arsenal with room to project moving forward. Left-handed hitter, showed a simple approach with projectable bat speed and natural loft that plays best from the middle of the field to the pull. Relying on the quickness in the hands and the whip in the wrist to create the jump off the barrel. Named to the 2021 14U Southwest Prospects Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
