2022 Deep South Prospect Showcase
Drew Harrison is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Germantown. Drew showed some speed in the Sixty Yard Dash as he ran a 6.92. He has a Tall Athletic frame with some strength present throughout. Primary Infield showed athletic actions with plenty of range up the middle. Harrison caught the ball cleanly out front with some softness to the hands. He had quick glove to hand transfers as he came from an over the top arm action with accurate throws and plenty of carry on the ball. On the mound Harrison shows plenty to like. He works with a belt high leg lift with some aggression working down the slope. He showed a quick explosive arm working arm a mid 3/4s slot with some effort in the release. The fastball topped at 89mph with late life down in the zone. He mixed in two breaking pitches one having a 12-6 shape with plenty of depth that he would throw early in counts with the other being a sharp sweeping slider that he would go to late in count for swing and misses. Drew also mixed in a plus CH that he would throw in any count with late fade and good command of. Right handed hitter has a taller narrow stance with an even foot base. He has a simple stroke with solid bat speed and some lift in the barrel. Harrison works a gap to gap approach with most of his strength coming to the pull side. Drew was named to the 2022 Deep South Prospect Showcase Top Team List.
