Cesar Valera is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Braden River. Medium broad shouldered build with plenty of room to get stronger. Recorded a 7.10 second 60-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with athleticism evident in the delivery. Uses the lower half well in the operation with a strong core and compact mechanics overall. Shorter stride with the fastball in the upper-80s. Around the zone with the fastball and the breaking ball showed good spin and snap to it. Good combination of sweep and drop. Flashed a couple of changeups. Arm strength played from secondary position of the infield with throws across up to 92 mph. Right-handed hitter with good bat speed and a hanging leg lift trigger. Turns over the inside well with strength off the barrel. Consistent swing and showed some separation. Great student. Verbal commitment to FGCU. Named to the Florida Prospect TP List.
