Luke Hemric is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Apex, NC who attends Apex Friendship. Tall, lean body with good projection and a lot of room to add overall physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.74 seconds. Primary position LHP, starting with high hands and step to side before reaching belt high balance point. Clean arm path, ball gets out of hand well. FB showing heavy arm-side life as it sat in the low-80's and peaked at 84 mph. Commanded the heater well on the arm-side. SL showed depth with hard break and elite spin up to 2,300+ rpms and mid-70's velocity. Killed spin on low-70's CH that is another good weapon. Secondary 1B, showing good footwork and familiarity around the bag. Very controlled to the ball using one hand gather off to the side. Whippy arm release with accuracy and carry. RHH using a wide base, high hand set and high back elbow to start. Some length to his bat path but stays inside the ball and is at his best when working in the oppo gap. Will start to see ball jump more with overall strength gains. Performed at a high level in all aspects in game action. Outstanding student with two-way potential down the line.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
