Austin Weiss is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Rockville, MD who attends Georgetown Prep. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, easy and athletic operation, big rock step moving into a leg lift up to the belt; lots of arm speed through the backside, works to a high three-quarters slot and generates big angle at release. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, misses bats and shows good metrics with flashes of big running life. Live arm, developed feel for curveball throughout time on the mound, up to 73 mph with 2-8 shape. Similar extended slot on release of throws from the outfield, upper body dominant release, can implement lower half into release. Left-handed hitter, gets his front foot down on time and turns hard through contact; generates present bat speed and shows plenty of jump off of the barrel to his pull side. Generates lift through the point of contact, went off the scoreboard in BP round, strength stands out. Good student. Verbal commitment to Maryland.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
