Alex Hoffman is a 2026 C/RHP/1B with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Catholic. Nice projectable athletic build with a high waist and square shoulders. 7.46 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good arm strength and carry on his throws, still developing his transition into his throws, some lower half agility that will enable him to continue to develop behind the plate. Also worked out in the infield and outfield and has a third base profile when not behind the plate. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a pre-set load, has strong hands and creates bat speed, simple and repeatable approach that was well timed, squared the ball up virtually every at-bat in the games with hard middle of the field contact, pretty polished hitter. Also pitched, has a compact catcher's arm action that hides the ball well. Fastball sat in the low 80's with occasional big running life. Threw both a slider and curveball with the slider being the better present pitch. Very good secondary pitcher with a chance to develop on both sides of the ball. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
