2022 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Matthew VanOstenbridge is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Sinking Spring, PA who attends Wilson. Young, projectable build with loads of strength remaining to be added throughout frame. Recorded a 7.92-second sixty time. Primary left-handed pitcher, impressive on the mound. Simple operation with slight hesitation at the top of his leg lift. Over-the-top arm slot with a full arm swing, creating some downhill action on his fastball. Worked in the low-80s during his two innings of work, working up to 85 mph. Showed ability to add and subtract from his fastball, working in on right-handers. 11-5 shaped curveball with depth, landing it for strikes in various counts. Strong command of the zone, showing the ability to over power opposing hitters. Secondary first baseman, deep fielding funnel with deliberate actions. Present plus-arm, up to 86 mph across the diamond. Better when he remains under control. Left-handed hitter, slightly closed stance with a high-hand set. Flashed line-drive impact to the pull side when on time, tended to wrap barrel behind his head causing his swing path to get long. Dynamic arm that projects long term on the mound. Excellent student. Named to Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
