Marshall Louque is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Lutcher, LA who attends Lutcher High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, deliberate actions in the infield, fields it out front, short and quick arm action on throws across with carry and arm strength, plays tall through the ball. Also pitched and has big upside on the mound, begins with a belt high leg lift and utilizes length well in mechanics; similar short arm action working to a three-quarters release point, ball jumps out of hand and pounded the zone with a three-pitch mix. Fastball topped out at 84 mph in this look and has been up to 87 mph, mostly true with some downhill plane through the zone. Sells the changeup well up to 76 mph with similar release point; curveball up to 67 mph with 11-5 shape and solid arm speed with late breaking life. Right-handed hitter, taller stance in the box and shifts well moving into contact; clean hand path and does a nice job of getting the barrel out front. Contact oriented approach, repeats swing well and worked to the middle of the field with line drive contact, timing components to swing. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
