2022 Sophomore National Showcase (2025 Grads)
Mason Pike is a 2025 SS/IF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Puyallup, WA who attends Puyallup. Solid athletic build with good present strength and plenty more to come. Switch-hitter at the plate, hits from a spread and open set up left handed, big coil into his swing, outstanding raw bat speed left handed, fast hands, pull side approach. Right handed swing is shorter and more direct with less bat speed, better barrel control this side. True switch-hitter with a different approach from each side. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has lots of bounce to his step, quick feet with plus range, very good charging the ball, easy plus arm strength across the diamond, will continue to improve defensively as he learns to slow the game down. Also pitched, rear back delivery with a long and loose arm action, powers down the mound well. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with good downhill plane, still gaining feel for his curveball. Highest level athlete. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Oregon State.
