William Schmidt is a 2024 RHP with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Catholic. Long and lean athletic build with lots of growing still to do. Easy delivery with a long and whippy arm action, gets out front very well, high 3/4's arm slot, works downhill consistently. Fastball worked between 92 and 94 mph consistently with up to 21" of ride, picked up five S/M on fastballs in two innings of work, more velocity there potentially in the future. Curveball was an elite level hammer with 3,000+ spin rates and sharp biting action in the upper 70's. Also threw a change up with big running life, tends to still guide this pitch a bit. Projectable right hander with two present swing and miss pitches. Good student. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Team.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
