Alex Cook is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Dover, NH who attends Dover Senior. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, high waist with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, full windup on the mound with consistent tempo and repeats operation well, quick arm stroke through the backside working to a three-quarters release, ball comes out cleanly and lived around the zone. Mixed both a two and four-seam fastball with life through the zone, topped out at 87 mph and projects well moving forward, athleticism plays in overall operation. Short and tight slider with horizontal tilt up to 73 mph and mixed it effectively. Short and quick steps on the approach in the outfield, fields the all out front, shows solid arm strength and carry to the intended base, will continue to refine overall actions, shows athleticism. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate, utilizes a hover leg lift with a subtle weight shift through lower half. Handsy swing but shows quickness to them, stays compact through the zone and works on a linear plane; creates line drive carry off of the barrel, comfort working to the middle of the field but can spray it around. Excellent student. Named to Fall Connecticut Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
