Burke Mabeus is a 2024 C/3B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Bishop Gorman. Tall and strong frame with all the body strength needed for a back stop. Rana 6.77 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, efficient with his footwork and transfer using good direction and is very fundamentally sound. Big arm behind the plate with true carry and accuracy to the right side of the bag. Popped a 1.90 during drills with 83 mph arm strength. Huge potential with the bat as a power hitting switch hitter. Line drive and gap to gap from the right side should produce a high average. The left side could have real power potential with pull side lift. Excellent profile and very high ceiling. Excellent student and is committed to Oregon.
