Landon Beaver is a 2024 1B/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Smiths Station, AL who attends Phenix City Central. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 6.78 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, clean glove work away from the bag, consistent actions, compact arm action with carry on throws across, will continue to refine release moving forward. Accurate throws from the outfield, remains tall through release, shorter footwork on the approach, compact arm action through the back, shows one hope accuracy to the bag. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Quickness to hands and performed well in game, lots of hard barreled contact and utilized an all fields approach. Line drive contact off of the barrel, repeats well and shows nice potential moving forward with added strength, stays short to it, can implement additional lift out front. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to UAB.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
