Joephillip Guzman is a 2025 2B/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Killeen, TX who attends Shoemaker. Medium, athletic build with room to continue adding strength. Primary second baseman, showed athleticism working to both directions, hands work cleanly out front with a mid body exchange and a long arm swing to an over the top release point, generates a bunch of carry across the diamond. Strong arm that will play on the left side of the diamond, recorded throws up to 88 mph. Secondary outfielder, smooth actions on the charge, fields it with one hand on the side of the body and carries the weight through nicely, long arm swing and the same arm strength we saw in the infield. Extremely accurate and easy movements, recorded throws up to 89 mph. Right-handed hitter, even base with hands high and a high back elbow in the stance, tight turn into contact and stays compact swing with ability to impact to the pull-side with loft. Has good strength to all fields and works to all fields in the approach with quickness in the hands. Good student. Verbal commitment to Alabama State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
