Jonnie Gifford is a 2024 C/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Amarillo, TX who attends West Plains. Tall and very strong young back stop that can easily handle the work load behind the plate. Ran a 6.95 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, replaced the feet with quickness and has a compact arm stroke that fits the position. Clean out front and popped a 1.94 with 75 mph arm strength. A right-handed hitter, works directly to the ball with enormous hand strength at contact. Torques the handle hard and when he gets extended it is extremely loud contact. Huge power coming. Very good student. Pepperdine commit.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
