Ignacio Gonzalez Rivera is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Preparatory. Larger, long frame with lean current build and plenty of time to add physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.11 seconds. Primary position IF, moving well on his feet, works to ball with intent and proper angles. Soft hands with smooth glove action. Longer arm action with good carry on throws up to 86 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, using small side step to belt high leg lift over the rubber. Shorter inline arm path hiding the ball to create extra deception. Over the top arm angle and gets down the slope with good leg drive. Lots of strikes, attacking hitter with FB/CB mix and the ability to work backwards when necessary. FB up to 83 mph with some ride, bigger CB around 70 mph mostly vertical. RHH working with a wide base and extra high handset and back elbow. Low leg lift for timing and turns really good in the lower-half. Hand quickness with flat path to ball creating low-line drives in the middle of the field. Lots of two-way potential here and the bat is really coming on. Outstanding student who is currently uncommitted.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
