Ryan McPherson is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Hollywood, FL who attends North Broward Prep. Large frame with strong, athletic build. Primary righthanded pitcher, little offline through the back of arm stroke but stays well timed-up with above-average arm speed, fastball works 85-90 mph with heavy spin and sink, creates plane from higher slot, replicates arm speed on changeup well and kills spin on pitch, acts like a splitter with hard diving action, showed curveball with flashes of good bite. Quality three-pitch mix with feel and projection. Also took swings, swings it hard with intent to do damage, strength-driven stroke with big impact pull-side, registered up to 95 mph exit velocity off of a tee, power is substantial. Very good student, named to 2022 Main Event Top Prospect List. Committed to Mississippi State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
