Matthew Bline is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 5-9 176 lb. frame from Highland, CA who attends Citrus Valley. Strong young build. Primary left handed pitcher, throws with a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, lands a bit closed out front, can extend more out front on release. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. Threw both a slider and a curveball and got some tilt on both when he got out front with them, also developing a change up. Left handed hitter, has a big hanging leg load from an open stance to start his swing, gets his foot down on time well, aggressive hitter with a rotational pull side approach, has the strength to impact the ball with hard line drive contact, showed good patience in the games and recognizes pitches. 7.26 runner in the sixty. Has sound fundamentals in the outfield with good footwork through the ball, quick exchange and release on his throws, compact arm circle. Graded out higher as a position player at this showcase.
