John Petrie III is a 2025 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Costa Mesa, CA who attends Huntington Beach HS. Recorded a 7.58 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with a lot of present strength and physicality. Primary first baseman with quick turns and comfort with the glove. Confident actions with clean glove work. Good momentum through release with throws recorded up to 80 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with an online stride and a high three-quarters arm slot. Compact arm circle and threw exclusive fastballs. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and an even stance. Good strength to the pull side and generates good separation. Steady contact to the pull side with quickness to his hands. Ball explodes off the barrel and posits big power potential. Power plays in game as he rocketed a double off the monster in the Jet Blue Stadium. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
