Mason Rego is a 2023 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Castle View. Medium physical build. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary corner infielder with footwork direct to the baseball, some lateral reactions to both sides, limited range, catches it clean from a quality fielding position and shows a quick release with above average arm strength. Hit from an open stance with leg lift timing at the plate, creates hand separation and takes a direct hand path to the baseball with a level bat path through the zone. Limited extra movement in the swing with solid average feel for the barrel and strength in the swing to drive the baseball gap to gap. Four pitch-mix out of a low three-quarter arm slot. Low 80's fastball with arm side run and command to both sides of the plate. Two distinct breaking balls with a horizontal slider and 11-5 shape curve. Turned over the change up with fading action consistently as well. Real pitchability on the mound. Named to event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
