Jared Grindlinger is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Long and lean athletic build with tons of physical projection. Primary first baseman on defense but is a two-way prospect as a left-handed pitcher. 7.70 runner in the sixty. Very smooth and easy defensive actions at first, confident glove, advanced footwork for his age, easy arm strength with plus accuracy. Left handed hitter, has a busy pre-swing load with a big upper body turn into contact, has a loose and fluid swing, works mostly middle away with an inside swing path, Freddie Freeman swing mechanics. On the mound has a slow leg raise delivery with slow to fast mechanics, was able to repeat due to his athleticism. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, hitters had no chance against the heaters, big late running life at times. Big sweeping curveball has good spin and depth. Showed a feel for his change up. Extremely projectable in all areas but especially on the mound. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Texas Christian. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
