Zach Russell is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Charleston, SC who attends West Ashley. Recorded 6.99 seconds in the sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop has strong fundamentals and good clean glove actions with a short, quick, and compact release. He shows a good ability to change directions while accurately throwing 79 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher moves from a full windup into an above the belt leg lift as he rides the back leg down the mound. Russell showcases good extension on release with a three-quarter arm slot and displays good arm side running action with late life topping 84 mph. He also mixes in a tight slider with good depth at 75 mph and maintains good command of the zone. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with a quick stride and gets good tilt with his torso resulting in lift on the baseball and a quick front-side. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
