Ruben Rodriguez is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Bakersfield, CA who attends Stockdale. Slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts with a big leg lift trigger, gets well coiled, very aggressive hitter with quick hands, gets his lower half into his swing and creates real bat speed, pull side approach with surprising power and carry. Second base look, actions and tools on defense, plays defense with energy, presents the glove early and well. Interesting bat. Excellent student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.
