2021 National Underclass East Showcase
Clayton Evans is a 2024 C/1B/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Lake Placid, FL who attends Sebring. Medium frame with some strength to the build but good room to fill out. Ran a 7.15 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sits higher in his stance but sets up even and receives the ball well; shows quickness in his lower half out of the crouch with a clean transfer and strong accurate throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter, sets up slightly open and shows very good looseness to the hands with fluidity throughout the swing process; finds the barrel at a very good rate with some lift at impact to create backspin and carry on contact to all fields. Good foundation of tools to project on through maturity. Very good student. Named to 2021 National Underclass East Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
