Austin Kalsek is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Goodyear, AZ who attends Canyon View. Ran a 7.54 60 yard dash. He has an athletic build and has good mechanics on the mound. Long arm action with a 3/4 arm slot and hooks it a bit. His fastball was up to 81 and had some sinking action on it, generates a lot of ground balls. His slider sat around 70 and has good depth. Also flashes a good changeup at 73 and understands how to pronate it. When he's in the field, has a good glove for shortstop and has a quick release. Good range and shows the ability to go deep into the hole well on backhands. At the plate, has a slight wrap and hitch in his pre-pitch set up and is quick to the ball. Should tap into more power as he fills out.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
