2022 High School All State Select Championship (2023-2024 Grads)
Carson Raether is a 2024 C/UT with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Goodrich, MI who attends Goodrich High School. Medium frame with athletic, solid build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.25 seconds. Hits from wide-spread stance, engages back hip well, good drive through swing in lower half, has good power to pull-side as well as ability to use the whole field, hit a huge grand slam in the championship game, consistent at-bats with good zone awareness, good hitting tools overall here. Primarily a catcher, athletic base with good hip flexibility, bounces out of crouch and gets into good throwing position, clean arm stroke with quick release and good arm strength, demonstrated good ability to block/receive in game play. Also took reps on the infield, showed good footwork with clean hand actions, quick transfer and release, could profile at 3B as well as behind the plate. Pitched as well, shorter stride downhill, lets athleticism take over and doesn't try to do too much, fastball worked 79-82 mph with good control of it, showed curveball with some depth as well as a knuckler that has some utility. Excellent student, named to 2022 High School All State Select Top Prospect List.
