2022 Fall Academic Showcase
Andrew Allen is a 2024 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Alexandria, AL who attends Alexandria. Strong athletic build. Primary right handed pitcher, has an easy well paced and low effort delivery, compact arm action hides the ball well, high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Works with a mid-80's fastball that gets nice running action at times, works downhill and has angle to his fastball. Change up shows good arm speed and similar life to his fastball. Curveball was a good pitch as well with sharp biting action and some sweeping depth. Solid 3-pitch starter package. 7.50 runner in the sixty. Worked out in both the outfield and infield and showed his arm strength well there. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and narrow stance with a late shift into contact, tall and fall hitting mechanics, flashes some power when he's on time and out front. Very good student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
