Grant Ewy is a 2020 2B/RHP/C with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Moore, OK who attends Moore HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and room to add physically. Ran a 7.78 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary second baseman. Gets around the baseball while maintaining momentum through transition. Fields the ball out front with softness in hands. Developing arm strength across the infield with accurate carry topping out at 76 miles per hour. Also worked out as a catcher. Sets up in a low slightly side straddle stance. Gains short ground out of stance with some quickness in feet. Compact action in the back with soft and accurate carry around the bag topping out at 71 miles per hour and a workout pop time of 2.03. Righthanded hitter with a narrow and upright stance and high hand set. Utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing. Long path to contact with a short linear shift. Middle of the field to opposite field approach with occasional barreled contact. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a medium leg lift to the waist. Long and loose action in the back into a three-quarters release. Arm works well when in sync. Straight fastball around the zone topping out at 80 miles per hour. Mixed in a curveball at 63 miles per hour with depth to the pitch. Good student as well.
