2023 Sunshine Northeast Showcase
Tyler Jones is a 2024 SS/2B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from New Hyde Park, NY who attends Elev8 Sports Institute. Jones works from an athletic build with strength proportioned nicely throughout. As a primary MIF, he displayed clean glove work with solid lateral range and carry across the diamond up to 85 mph. He kept the body controlled on the run and flashed the ability to change slots when needed. Can be a reliable option at multiple IF spots. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow even base with a high hand set and leg lift trigger, generating easy line drive impact gap to gap with evident carry and backspin. Jones displayed good feel for the barrel with lots of present bat speed, posting an exit velo of 86 mph. Ran a 6.83 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
