Zaine Toneske is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Jackson, NJ who attends Jackson Liberty. Large frame with a strong present build. Ran a 7.75 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, works under control with sound footwork around the bag, receives the ball well and shows clean and accurate throws across the diamond. Shows similar actions from the left side of the infield as he waits back on the ball some and shows good arm strength across. Pitches as well, works solely from the stretch with a simple up and down leg lift, shows good arm speed and gets over his front side well with some life to the fastball and tight late bite to the breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, has some length to the swing but pulls the barrel through quickly with good strength at impact; uses his lower half well in the swing and finds the barrel at a consistent rate. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
