Tristan McGregor is a 2023 RHP/MIF, UT with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Inspiration Academy. Large frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.74 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, uses lower half well downhill, compact arm stroke to high 3/4 slot release, tends to pull off through delivery, works downhill, fastball worked 78-83 mph with straight action, showed curveball with longer 11/5 shape, also flashed a changeup. Hits from wider-set stance, knee to knee load, hands stay inside through swing, anchored back leg, quick hands through stroke, middle-field approach, power projects. Worked out in the infield, funnels clean out front, firmer to backhand, loose exchange, clocked up to 79 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
