David Chase is a 2022 OF/RHP, MIF, UT with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Manhattan Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Tall, lean type frame with potential for added physical strength. Recorded 7.14 60-yd time. Primary outfielder, has sound defensive skills, fields the cleanly out front. Throws have online carry with accuracy. Recorded 84 mph throw in outfield drills. Right-handed hitter with wide slightly open stance, holds hands high to start swing. Utilizes a middle to pull side line drive approach with good barrel control creating consistently driven line drives to the middle and pull fields. Also pitched, has simple delivery, pitches from the 1B side of the rubber. Throws from 3/4 arm slot. FB has occasional good arm side run, tries to locate to both sides of the plate, needs to refine FB command. SL has 3/4 slurve type action. CH has occasional arm side fade & deception. Around the zone with all pitches, needs to continue to refine overall control & command. Good student.
