Andrew Behnke is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Old Hickory, TN who attends Donelson Christian Academy. Compact build with good present strength. High energy delivery with a big pause at the top over the rubber, long arm action from an extended 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball that topped out at 91 mph, primary fastball pitcher. Flashed some bite on his slider, used slider mostly to left handed hitters. Showed some feel for a change up that he could throw more often. Deceptive pitching style with a present reliever profile, can develop into a future starter with improved command of all his pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Tennessee.
