Anthony Avalos is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland. He has a smaller, athletic frame with room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.78 seconds. He is a primary shortstop that has twitchy movements to both sides of his body. He has clean footwork and pairs that with a smooth glove and short arm actions that result in throws that are accurate and on time. Secondary pitcher that utilizes a quick, compact delivery and attacks the zone. He has a quick arm and his fastball was in the low 80's. His curveball has tight spin and sharp movement. Offensively he starts with a slightly open stance and uses a simple stride for timing. Does a nice job of creating bat speed that leads to some pop, especially pull side. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine South Top Prospect List.
